Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi is currently the Provost and CEO at Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia. His research interests include thermofluids, renewable energy, biomechanical engineering, engineering education and academic leadership. Professor Al-Atabi published three books, “Shoot the Boss,” “Think Like an Engineer” and “Driving Performance” and he has numerous research publications, awards and honours. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) and a member of the Global Engineering Deans Council. Government Chief Data Officer, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Republic of Estonia

Ott Velsberg is the Chief Data Officer for the Estonian government. He oversees strategic coordination of data science and data governance in the Estonian government, including domains like artificial intelligence and open data. He is also a Ph.D. researcher in the department of Informatics at Umeå University and Uppsala University. His research concentrates on the use of information systems in the public sector, with a special focus on the use of the Internet of Things (IoT).

SUPT. SARAVANAN KANNIAPPAN

Head of Centre for Human Identifications, Forensic DNA Databank Malaysia, Royal Malaysia Police

As a head of the Centre for Human Identifications at Forensic DNA Databank Section, Saravanan monitors investigations involving cold-cases and DNA evidence. He is also involved in the managerial and administrative task that entails the supervision of Senior Police officers and members of Rank and File on a daily basis. He also establishes various SOP’s and guidelines pertaining to respective units and divisions such as Disaster Victim Identification (DVI), Bioincident Response, Investigation Team (BRITE), Missing Person Database and Cold and HIT cases. He conducts exercises, courses, workshops for officers of his division and other districts. He also conducts regular and routine audits nationwide, to ensure compliance with the work procedures. He is required to report HIT cases to INTERPOL on DNA matches involving foreigners and vice versa. He is also involved in regular and periodical training with INTERPOL, FBI, and other relevant local and international agencies.

Dr. Neeta Verma is the Director General of National Informatics Centre, a Premier Science and Technology organization of the Government of India. With a career spanning over three and a half decades, she has been instrumental in implementing high impact digital initiatives across the country. In her current role as DG-NIC, she is spearheading the development of digital platforms for various initiatives of the Government of India under the ‘Digital India Program’. Under her leadership, NIC also established National Data Centers at various locations in the country and later on launched the first National Cloud for Government in 2014 to provide state-of-the-art ICT Infrastructure to Government Departments for delivery of citizen services. Dame Wendy Hall, DBE, FRS, FREng is Regius Professor of Computer Science, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International Engagement), and is an Executive Director of the Web Science Institute at the University of Southampton. With Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Sir Nigel Shadbolt she co-founded the Web Science Research Initiative in 2006 and is the Managing Director of the Web Science Trust, which has a global mission to support the development of research, education and thought leadership in Web Science. She became a Dame Commander of the British Empire in the 2009 UK New Year’s Honours list and is a Fellow of the Royal Society. Alison Heppenstall is Professor of Geocomputation and an ESRC-Turing Fellow. Her current research is focused on developing and adapting ML approaches to understanding social phenomena. She has particular interests in data analytics, developing approaches for detecting ‘hidden’ spatio-temporal patterns in ‘big data’, quantifying uncertainty in simulations and building more robust individual-based models through probabilistic programming and reinforcement learning.

Priya Lakhani OBE is the Founder CEO of CENTURY Tech, the award-winning artificial intelligence teaching and learning platform for schools, colleges and universities. Launched in 2015, CENTURY uses AI, neuroscience and learning science to provide each student with an education tailored to their individual needs, while empowering teachers to perform even better as educators. Natalie Black is Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner (HMTC) for Asia Pacific, covering North East Asia, South East Asia and Australasia. Previously, Natalie was the Deputy Head of the Number 10 Policy Unit where she championed the UK’s tech sector and developed the new modern industrial strategy. In addition to this role, Natalie held the post of Director of the Internet Harms Unit she coordinated effort to tackle the challenges of the internet including terrorist use and then Director of the Officer of Cyber Security in the Cabinet Office where she oversaw the National Cyber Security Strategy and the National Cyber Security Programme. Before joining the Civil Service, Natalie was the Chief of Staff for Security at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, London 2012 and a management consultant.

He had built the data analysis and innovative community and the data capacity improvement training system. Dato’ Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab (“Dato’ Dr. Amir”) is currently the CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia, a strategic agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia and the agency that monitors sovereignty of the country. He has around 25 years of ICT working experience in the telecom and IT sector in the Government as well as in the semi- government and private sectors. Through his leadership at Cybersecurity Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Amir managed to contribute to Malaysia’s achievement in attaining number #3 rank in the world, in two consecutive International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index studies (2014 & 2017 reports) and becoming first Malaysian World Trustmark Alliance Chairman (2014-2015)

Fandhy has more than 20 years of career experience in the areas of Internal Audit, Governance and Risk Management & CyberSecurity. He is now working as Head of Internal Audit at PT. Bank Resona Perdania. Vinay Biradar is a Senior Consultant with the Digital Transformation practice of Frost & Sullivan, Malaysia. In this role, he is responsible for handling all digital transformation engagements across Asia Pacific region for Frost & Sullivan. Vinay has over 8 years of industry experience in IT systems, enterprise security, ERP implementation and industry benchmarking best practices study across India & South East Asia. Prior to Frost, he has worked with British Telecom (BT), where he was responsible for managing the security business for South India. He has also worked with HCL Technologies & Wipro Technologies across various regions of India. He has hands on experience in IT systems and enterprise security and takes keen interest in accelerating business metrics through efficient implementation of IT. Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things is one of his areas of interest and he keenly tracks the OEM ecosystem and their product propositions in this space.

Dr. Toa Charm is the Chairman of OpenCertHub and the Principal Advisor of a few elite AI/Big Data, FinTech and eCommerce start-ups in Asia. He has over 30 years of management, entrepreneurship, consulting and executive education experience in innovation and technology industry. Dr. Charm held senior management positions in leading multinational, Hong Kong and mainland enterprises including Cyberport, HSBC, IBM, Oracle, Kingdee and Jardine Pacific. He specializes in AI, Big Data, FinTech, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Digital Strategy and Transformation. Dr. Charm has been contributing to both enterprises and start-ups throughout his career. He has been empowering enterprises to transform to the digital economy and cultivating over 1,000 startups where 3 of them are Unicorns now. Dr. Charm is also an associate professor in the CUHK Business School where he nurtures digital talents and cultivates the next generation of digital leaders. Michal is Head of Analytics and Data Science at GOGOVAN. Previously he worked in data teams of PwC, NaturalMotion and Zynga. He was also the Founder of Artificial Intelligence Oxford and Quantified Self Oxford meetup groups.

Raju Chellam is Vice President of New Technologies at Fusionex International, a leading software solutions provider that specializes in Big Data Analytics, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Raju is also a Member of the Singapore NCCAC (National Cloud Computing Advisory Council) & Deputy Chair of the COIR (Cloud Outage Incident Response) Group under ITSC (IT Standards Committee). He is also Hon Vice Chairman of the Cloud & Data Chapter at SGTech, previously called SiTF (Singapore IT Federation) & Hon Secretary of the Cloud Chapter of SCS (Singapore Computer Society). He was conferred as an SCS Fellow in March 2018.
