Associate Professor Dr Elaine Chan is the co-founder and CEO of Vidanex, the first spin-off company of IMU University, with a mission to help digitalise the healthcare space and integrate AI with medical imaging (pathology) solutions. She leads the growth and development of the company, with the goal of providing the diagnosis on the go and precise yet affordable cancer treatment profile for cancer patients in Southeast Asia. Having spent the formative years of her career as an academic and researcher, she has a extensive experience in the field of AI in digital pathology, publishing in acclaimed scientific journals with over 800 citations. Recently, Dr Elaine had also been invited to speak at NIH AI day and her entrepreneurship journey was featured in the Autumn 2024 edition of the Fellows’ Printed Newsletter of Royal Academy of Engineering UK. She was also the Head of Centre of Environmental and Population Heath, Lead of HealthAI lab at IMU University.
