Payment Networks Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet). He is responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, advisory and guidance for cybersecurity in PayNet. He leads a team focusing on cyber risk management, data security and protection, data privacy, awareness, governance, and compliance. Mel also leads the development of PayNet Authenticate, a digital identity initiative for the financial industry. It aims to provide a secure and seamless way for consumers to prove their identities online. Before PayNet, Mel held senior positions in EY and KPMG, focusing on cybersecurity consulting services. He has delivered large cyber security transformation programmes, performed technical assessments, provided cyber response and incident management, conducted security remediations, and designed and developed cyber security and data protection strategies for clients in multiple industries. He has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and holds CISSP and CCSP certifications.
