Dr. Karl is a thought leader in Malaysia's digital economy and data ecosystem, harnessing data to fuel innovation and growth. With over 26 years of experience across government, ICT, and manufacturing, he has championed efforts in innovation, capacity building, startups, and digital transformation. Currently serving as Vice President of Digital Health & Digital Cities at MDEC, Dr. Karl spearheads the digital transformation of Cities and healthcare. Notably, he has spearheaded key national projects like the Big Data Analytics Framework and National AI Framework, boosting numbers of data professionals and data-driven organisations. He also developed the National Data Sharing Policy and currently co-chairs the technical committee.
