Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi is currently the Provost and CEO at Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia. His research interests include thermofluids, renewable energy, biomechanical engineering, engineering education and academic leadership. Professor Al-Atabi published three books, “Shoot the Boss,” “Think Like an Engineer” and “Driving Performance” and he has numerous research publications, awards and honours. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) and a member of the Global Engineering Deans Council. Professor Al-Atabi pioneered the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) and delivered the first MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) in Malaysia. He trains executives from Multinational Corporations including banks and energy companies.
Ott Velsberg is the Chief Data Officer for the Estonian government. He oversees strategic coordination of data science and data governance in the Estonian government, including domains like artificial intelligence and open data. He is also a Ph.D. researcher in the department of Informatics at Umeå University and Uppsala University. His research concentrates on the use of information systems in the public sector, with a special focus on the use of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Muhammad Ghifary leads a team in Bukalapak consisting of researchers and engineers to productionize AI services that fulfill the business needs ranging from customer experience through recommendation and search, cybersecurity, and investment solutions. Before joining Bukalapak, Muhammad Ghifary was a research scientist at Weta Digital, a digital visual effect company, to empoyer 3D animators and modellers through AI solutions, involved in several movie projects such as War for the Planet of the Apes, Deadpool 2, and Alita: Battle Angel. He holds a PhD in computer science specialized in AI.
As a head of the Centre for Human Identifications at Forensic DNA Databank Section, Saravanan monitors investigations involving cold-cases and DNA evidence. He is also involved in the managerial and administrative task that entails the supervision of Senior Police officers and members of Rank and File on a daily basis. He also establishes various SOP’s and guidelines pertaining to respective units and divisions such as Disaster Victim Identification (DVI), Bioincident Response, Investigation Team (BRITE), Missing Person Database and Cold and HIT cases. He conducts exercises, courses, workshops for officers of his division and other districts. He also conducts regular and routine audits nationwide, to ensure compliance with the work procedures. He is required to report HIT cases to INTERPOL on DNA matches involving foreigners and vice versa. He is also involved in regular and periodical training with INTERPOL, FBI, and other relevant local and international agencies.
Safura Moin leads the digital transformation and innovation at KPJ Healthcare Berhad, Malaysia’s top private healthcare provider. She is continuously enhancing the company’s digital assets and has initiated several digital projects including those on retail e-commerce and the mobile app. She believes putting patients first in the digital build for KPJ as it is vital in improving patient engagement, loyalty, and overall satisfaction. She helps to build digital competence within the group and to create awareness of the latest innovations for KPJ’s medical professionals.
Priyanka Sudhir is an Associate Partner based in McKinsey & Company’s Singapore office. Priyanka specializes in delivering lasting impact through digital transformation, particularly in enterprise technology and chemical space. An engineer by training, Priyanka worked as a supply chain coordinator for Tetra Pak in Southeast Asia before joining McKinsey in 2012.
Dr. Neeta Verma is the Director General of National Informatics Centre, a Premier Science and Technology organization of the Government of India. With a career spanning over three and a half decades, she has been instrumental in implementing high impact digital initiatives across the country. In her current role as DG-NIC, she is spearheading the development of digital platforms for various initiatives of the Government of India under the ‘Digital India Program’. Under her leadership, NIC also established National Data Centers at various locations in the country and later on launched the first National Cloud for Government in 2014 to provide state-of-the-art ICT Infrastructure to Government Departments for delivery of citizen services. In 2019, she was featured amongst the top 55 inspiring women around the world who have showcased the prowess of technology in the government sector.
An academic with a predilection for treating the law as a living organism, Jaspal attempts to balance her interests in both traditional and emerging areas of law. Jaspal specializes in Law of Information and Communication Technology Law; IT, Data Governance and Ethics, and Media Law, particularly free speech and expression. Having completed her PhD (Aberystwyth University, 2012) in the area of citizen journalism and social media, she has presented at numerous conferences regionally and internationally.
Nina Sharil Khan is the Founder & CEO of PopCon, International Speaker & Host of the #JustLanggar PopCast live show. Nina is also Marketing in Asia’s Top 100 Inspirational LinkedIn Icons for both 2019 & 2020. Her journey in entertainment began as an Actor, TV Host and Film & TV producer. Ivana Bartoletti works, writes, and speaks on privacy and digital ethics, and works with companies in the UK and globally. She is Chair of the Executive Committee of the Fabian Society. Ivana was awarded ‘Woman of the Year’ (2019) in the Cyber Security Awards in recognition of her growing reputation as an advocate of equality, privacy, and ethics at the heart of tech and AI. She received the Gender Equality Leader Award at CogX 2020. She is a sought after commentator for the BBC, Sky and other major broadcasters and news outlets (Guardian, Telegraph) on headline stories where the tech economy intersects with privacy and data law and politics. In May 2018, Ivana launched the Women Leading in AI network. Her first book An Artificial Revolution: On Power, Politics, and AI is published by The Indigo Press.
Dr. Shin Liang Chin currently leads data science projects for the Malaysian market. Using state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence, he has built numerous predictive models to help drive clients’ profitability. He is also a champion of transforming the payments industry into a data-driven business by helping clients to implement change management to adopt data science capabilities. He has more than ten years of experience working as a researcher at the University of Cambridge and at various technology start-ups in the U.K. He also worked in the R&D department of Tracerco where he empowered customers in the digitization of their industry and championed customers to adopt Industry 4.0. He has applied machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence to carry out predictive maintenance, to perform root-cause analysis, and to reduce operational inefficiencies.
Aaron Tan Dani is the Founder and the Chairman of International Association of Software Architects (IASA) Asia Pacific since 2004 and was actively involved in setting up and leading IASA Chapters across the Asia Pacific countries. Aaron’s close connection with the industry leaders and government bodies in the respective APAC countries gives him the edge in the latest technology landscape. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Abu Bakar Suleiman started the Department of Nephrology and developed the Nephrology and Dialysis services at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and extended to other hospitals in the country. He developed the network of dialysis centers in Malaysia, in the government hospitals as well as in the community, with the support of donors and non-governmental organizations. He also developed the Renal Transplantation services at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He was the Director General of Health Malaysia from 1991 to 2001 and was appointed President of International Medical University in 2001. He is also the former Chairman of Health Advisory Council, Ministry of Health. Currently, he is the Emeritus President/Chairman for International Medical University (IMU); President, Board of Governors for National Kidney Foundation (NKF), and Director/Chairman of Medical Defence Malaysia Berhad.

Jaffri is the founder and CEO of CREST. He began his career as an entrepreneur that built an information service in Klang Valley in 1986. He later joined Oracle Corporation Malaysia in 1990 as a consultant in the professional services organization. He started his own technology consulting business in 1994 focusing on the Oil & Gas industry. Jaffri rejoined Oracle Corporation as Managing Consultant. He later joined Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting division in 1998 and then the Technology Consulting and Technology Integration Services group at CapGemini, Ernst & Young in 2002. Prior to joining CREST, he was Vice President of Business and Technology, Advisory Division of Malaysia Debt Ventures (MDV) Bhd.. Lee Yiang Ming joined Malaysia Airports on 1 March 2019 as the Chief Information Officer. With more than 25 years of IT experience, he has assumed various management roles across a variety of industries including telecommunication and banking. He has also built specialisation in the areas of transformation, software quality and process engineering. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Lee Yiang Ming served as the Executive Director with UOB Singapore. Lee holds a Degree in Business Computing from the University of Winnipeg, Canada.
Datuk Dr. Kuljit Singh is an active member of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) since 1996 and he has contributed and engaged himself in various roles at the state and national level of MMA where he also served as the Honorary General Secretary from 2013 – 2014. In terms of networking and foreign collaborations; he has conducted meetings and presented in all the ASEAN countries and has great networking with all the leading ENT doctors within the region and many other parts of the world. He has served the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologist [ENT] as President in 2007 and was awarded meritorious awards by the society. Currently, he serves the position of Medical Director at PCMC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is also the President of Association Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM). His passion is to serve the healthcare of the people of this country.

Dame Wendy Hall, DBE, FRS, FREng is Regius Professor of Computer Science, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International Engagement), and is an Executive Director of the Web Science Institute at the University of Southampton. With Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Sir Nigel Shadbolt she co-founded the Web Science Research Initiative in 2006 and is the Managing Director of the Web Science Trust, which has a global mission to support the development of research, education and thought leadership in Web Science. She became a Dame Commander of the British Empire in the 2009 UK New Year’s Honours list and is a Fellow of the Royal Society. Dame Wendy was co-Chair of the UK government’s AI Review, which was published in October 2017, and has recently been announced by the UK government as the first Skills Champion for AI in the UK.
Alison Heppenstall is Professor of Geocomputation and an ESRC-Turing Fellow. Her current research is focused on developing and adapting ML approaches to understanding social phenomena. She has particular interests in data analytics, developing approaches for detecting ‘hidden’ spatio-temporal patterns in ‘big data’, quantifying uncertainty in simulations and building more robust individual-based models through probabilistic programming and reinforcement learning.
Priya Lakhani OBE is the Founder CEO of CENTURY Tech, the award-winning artificial intelligence teaching and learning platform for schools, colleges and universities. Natalie Black is Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner (HMTC) for Asia Pacific, covering North East Asia, South East Asia and Australasia. Previously, Natalie was the Deputy Head of the Number 10 Policy Unit where she championed the UK’s tech sector and developed the new modern industrial strategy. In addition to this role, Natalie held the post of Director of the Internet Harms Unit she coordinated effort to tackle the challenges of the internet including terrorist use and then Director of the Officer of Cyber Security in the Cabinet Office where she oversaw the National Cyber Security Strategy and the National Cyber Security Programme. Before joining the Civil Service, Natalie was the Chief of Staff for Security at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, London 2012 and a management consultant.

Xuewu (Shawn) Wang, Honor Data Scientist, he is the Founder and Head of Data Labs at One of the top 4 airlines in China. He focuses on customer experience, digital strategy, data solutions, big data and AI. He is the promoter of the data-driven culture of this airline group. He had built the data analysis and innovative community and the data capacity improvement training system. Dato’ Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab (“Dato’ Dr. Amir”) is currently the CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia, a strategic agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia and the agency that monitors sovereignty of the country. He has around 25 years of ICT working experience in the telecom and IT sector in the Government as well as in the semi- government and private sectors. Through his leadership at Cybersecurity Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Amir managed to contribute to Malaysia’s achievement in attaining number #3 rank in the world, in two consecutive International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index studies (2014 & 2017 reports) and becoming first Malaysian World Trustmark Alliance Chairman (2014-2015)
Fandhy has more than 20 years of career experience in the areas of Internal Audit, Governance and Risk Management & CyberSecurity. He is now working as Head of Internal Audit at PT. Bank Resona Perdania. As a professional, he has 11 prestigious professional certifications including Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems (CISM) from ISACA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Risk Management Certified Assurance (CRMA), Certification in Self-Assessment Control (CCSA) from IIA, and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2.

As Fusionex’s Managing Director of New Technologies, Jacob has more than a decade’s experience in enterprise software project implementations. He has overseen and been involved in Big Data, Business Intelligence and Analytics as well as Internet of Things (IoT) projects in various industries, encompassing large volumes of data and different data sources to provide in depth analysis of data and trends. Amos Tay is the Head of Business Intelligence at Fave, Southeast Asia’s leading loyalty and rewards platform. In this role, Amos is part of the Fave senior leadership team and leads a team of BI analysts that are responsible for maintaining data infrastructure, producing and analysing key data points and reports for the company across the region.
Sohan is an Alexa Evangelist at Amazon. His role involves inspiring and helping developers build incredible voice experiences using Alexa. He was a part of the Alexa launch in India which has seen developers build over 15,000 skills in a short span of time. Sohan has earlier worked as a developer evangelist for Gupshup and InMobi and has spoken at conferences around the world.
Mr. Yeung has extensive experience in technology development for software/hardware and semiconductor areas, investments for angel/venture capital and private equity space, corporate and business development, science park development and government affairs. During 2015–mid 2018, he was appointed as the Government Chief Information Officer (head of department, Justice of Peace) by the Hong Kong SAR Government. Mr. Yeung was responsible for formulation of policies and strategies for Hong Kong’s overall digital technology; e-government; cyber-security; development of the digital economy, particularly for information technology industries; and formulation of the blueprint for developing Hong Kong into the world’s leading smart city. He also managed the Hong Kong Cyberport and was a voting member of its Macrofund’s Investment Committee. Mr. Yeung was the Chief Corporate Development Officer of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. He was responsible for the development strategy of the science park, global partnership, incubation programmes for start-ups, nurturing technology enterprises, and establishment of the science park corporate venture fund. Mr. Yeung started his career in Silicon Valley in 1987 and had worked for several high-tech companies. In 1995, he relocated back to Hong Kong to further develop his career. He has held senior management positions in several multinational corporations; Hong Kong listed companies and private equity funds, with operations throughout Asia.
Nicholas Car is an experimental computer scientist at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, working in the areas of Semantic Web and information modelling. He leads the technical components of a number of large-scale government data integration projects such as the Location Integration Capability, Loc-I, and the Longitudinal Spine of Government Functions. These projects aim to reduce the effort required to analyse public sector information and thus improve its utility. He is also the co-chair of the Australian Government Linked Data Working Group which assists government with data exchange.

Leon Foong is the CEO of SOCAR Malaysia, a car-sharing platform that seeks to make driving more accessible to people living in Malaysians by using technology to make cars more shareable and in the process driving up utilisation of cars across the country. Prior to venturing into the car-sharing space, Leon Foong was the General Manager of Uber Malaysia and was responsible for introducing ride- sharing to Malaysia, bringing reliable on-demand peer to peer transportation to over more than 15 cities in Malaysia. He has also been a pioneer in the transportation regulatory space, working closely with various stakeholders to push out new e-hailing regulations and launching partnerships with the government to benefit the Bottom 40 income segment. Leon is obsessed with solving problems and using technology to change the way people experience their cities and interact within their communities.
